"Crystal Palace" by Ken & Julia Yonetani. Singapore Biennale 2013 Exhibition. We went over to the other side of the exhibition hall where by some works of Singapore Biennale 2013 was displayed. Was very much intrigued by the works of Crystal Palace inspired by the reaction to the nuclear disaster in Japan.

"Unsubtitled" by Nguyen Trinh Thi from Vietnam. Singapore Biennale 2013 Exhibition. The artist went around to ask some people to state their name and also the name of the food they had eaten. His work is a protest against the surveillance and intimidation from the state's cultural police.

Singapore
For our very first guest lecture, we headed down to the National Museum of Singapore and gathered there to visit an exhibition based on our local history.
The exhibition "A Changed World", features works of Singapore artists from the 1950s to 1970s. Many works of our local pioneer artists and painters could be found there. The works exhibited were mainly works that show the development of how Singapore grew in to this fine city today, from era to era since the World War II occured.
Many works had expressed their
thoughts and feelings, reacting to what is happening and surrounding them. Stories of people, events, daily life, etc. Painted and crafted through various brushstrokes, styles and mediums to create and further emphasize the emotions while painting and creating these works. At the end of the day, we had Szan Tan with us who was our lovely curator for the day at National Museum Singapore, bringing us through a brief
presentation of some works displayed at
"A Changed World" exhibition.
