Soul

 

My project Focuses on the essence of one's journey, experiences and memories.

 

At the beginning, my project explored the various interpretation of souls and slowly from there it had developed in to the focus of memories and journey that one has been through. Studying various artist works and understanding from their projects and artworks, I have since started to develop my own ideas and concepts of how I wanted my

Soul project to be.

 

As I go through the works of artists, I began to feel like I wanted something different as shown in the pictures and references, that instead of focusing on the human parts of souls I wanted to create the absence of a space or an atmosphere that I can walk through and feel like there is a story playing around me. So I further developed my idea by exploring different ways of creating an atmosphere or experience. 

 

 I wanted to create or revolve my subject around something that the audience can relate to, and thus my final is an installation with the use of objects placed in such a way like there is still life within the empty room or space, creating a feeling that it is meant to evoke the memories and sentiments of people and their past and the memories they have with ones that they remember of.
